At age 24, Charles Dickens

married a 17-year old and published Sketches by Boz and, the work that made him famous, The Pickwick Papers.

All I did at 24 was drop out of grad school. I’m feeling very subpar.

  1. I like to think of it like this: they died earlier than we generally do. They had to make it count. Wasn’t it either Milton or Dante who wrote something epic or other around 21-25. Really gave everyone else a complex that later followed. And, of course, we can’t forget Montaigne. Apparently, (from my reading at least) anything after 30 is ancient. We start to get stupid and slow then, haha.
